Nutrition and dietetics
We provide inpatient nutrition services to improve health and treat or manage the symptoms of disease.
We do not accept outpatient referrals from GPs or medical practitioners. Our services are only accessible via an inpatient referral.
Speak to your treating medical team in the hospital about a referral to our service.

Dietitians interpret the science of nutrition to improve health and treat or manage the symptoms of disease. This may be done by providing education on therapeutic diets, oral nutrition support, or enteral and parenteral nutrition.
Dietitians educate other healthcare and food service staff on aspects of patient nutritional care, as well as undertaking quality improvement activities and research.
Dietitians are university graduates who undertake ongoing postgraduate training and are eligible for membership of Dietitians Australia.
