History of Hampstead
A history – from then to now.
The name of the site, Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre is historic, reflecting its former role as a centre for people requiring rehabilitation following stroke, neurological, brain injuries, orthopaedic, burns or amputations.Â
These services are now provided at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and the Repat Health Precinct.
The South Australian Spinal Cord Injury Service (SASCIS) and Brain Injury Services (BIRU and BIRCH) are also located at the Repat Health Precinct, as part of our statewide services.Â
