Adelaide Biomed City

Adelaide BioMed City is a city precinct designed for medical research collaboration to accelerate health innovation and transformative research.

Incorporating the Royal Adelaide Hospital, the precinct will assist CALHN to translate research into best practice models of care for our patients and the community.

SAHMRI

The South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) promotes research collaborations to optimise health outcomes and improve health equity.

Centre for Cancer Biology

The Centre for Cancer Biology is one of Australia’s peak cancer medical research institutes and houses the largest concentration of cancer research in South Australia.

Supported by SA Pathology and the University of South Australia, it carries out a world-class program making breakthrough discoveries in the fundamental causes of cancer, and translating these discoveries into new ways to prevent and treat this group of diseases.

Basil Hetzel Institute

The Basil Hetzel Institute for Translational Health Research (BHI) is the productive research arm of CALHN’s The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH).

BHI research groups have strong links to clinical divisions within TQEH, underpinning translational health research to improve public health and deliver innovations in patient care.

University Health Network (UHN-Toronto)

CALHN’s partnership with the University Health Network, a world-leading health and medical research organisation, will help investigate the causes of numerous diseases and develop new ways to treat them.

Our collaboration with UHN researchers will also offer access to cutting-edge technologies and support our research innovation programs.

Health Translation SA

Every day CALHN researchers make important scientific discoveries and breakthroughs to deliver enhanced health outcomes for our community.

Health Translation SA brings together a diverse network, including researchers, clinicians and consumers, to develop resources to advance healthcare systems the wellbeing of South Australians.

SAiGENCI

SA ImmunoGenomics Cancer Institute (SAiGENCI) is South Australia’s world-class cancer research institute focusing on cancer research and clinical trials, supported by CALHN and the University of Adelaide.

CALHN’s involvement as an alliance partner in SAiGENCI will lead to improved treatment and care options for South Australians living with cancer.
