National Clinical Trials Governance Framework (NCTGF)
A comprehensive set of guidelines to ensure clinical trials are conducted in a safe and high-quality environment for patients and the community.
All public and private hospitals, day procedure centres, and public dental services in Australia must undergo an independent review to assess whether they meet the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards.
The National Clinical Trials Governance Framework (NCTGF) is a comprehensive set of guidelines that health service organisations and clinical trial sites must follow to ensure clinical trials are conducted in a safe and high-quality environment. The framework aims to improve health outcomes for patients and the wider community.
Health services are subject to unannounced accreditation assessments, which can occur at any time, often with as little as 24 hours' notice. This means clinical trial sites must remain compliant with the NCTGF at all times.
